"[This summer] the part of my game that I most improved since camp was my defense. I learned to play smarter, make reads and I became a better lock-down defender. This [coming] season I look forward to being the primary scorer, assist man and defender. This off-season I've been working on defense a lot. Although I made All-star and was in the discussion for Player of the Year last year, I strongly believe I will be the Player of the Year this year due to my hard work and the skills I learned at your camp. Your camp has made me a better all around player and I am thankful I was invited.

I read the email about Lincoln [Seto] getting a scholarship to play in Oregon, and I desperately want to be another player at your camp to earn a scholarship with your help. I look forward to seeing you at states and at camp next year."

"Although Mitchel Shintani has not been to many camps, I was definitely impressed by the instruction and caliber of competition. Mitchel returned home with a renewed interest in basketball, practicing some of the moves he learned at the camp. He talked about dribbling harder and learning more effective moves off the dribble. I appreciate the attention Coach Aiona gave his players. I agree with his evaluation of Mitchel and will use the report card to remind him of areas he must improve. My only regret is that I did not enroll him in your program the previous summer. Thank you very much for doing the camp. I am certain everyone who attended got their money's worth plus more."

"Just wanted to say thanks for what sounded like a great camp and experience for my son. He seems to have gotten a lot out of the camp and had some fun. I'll spread the word on what an outstanding job you guy do!"

"I think very highly of your camp from what I have heard from our players...I recommended your camp to [a player's] grandfather in his e-mail to me regarding the best camps for his grandson to attend during the summer...thanks for your teaching in the summer."
--Dr. Mark Mugiishi, Iolani School Head Boy's Basketball Coach, 7-time Hawaii State Champion

"...I don't know what happened over in Kona this past summer, but [my son] is now a STRONG point guard, instead of being near-out-of-control/out-of-control and very athletic.  Can't thank you and your coaches enough for that."

"Thank you so much for the opportunity you have given my son.  I know all the training, drills, conditioning, and playing will definitely pay off for him.  He is standing next to me right now.  He just thanked me for getting him up to Kona to attend your camp.  I told him you're welcome!  I will do everything I can to get him up there next summer!  He gave me a lot of positive feedback.  Knowing what the camp was like this past week, he said he will definitely train hard in preparation for next summer.  He thought his skill set was just as strong as anyone there.  He did say however, that there were a lot of physically gifted kids there, bigger and stronger than him.  He said thanks a lot for a challenging week.  This is the only camp in Hawaii that rivals a quality camp on the mainland.  I will wholeheartedly recommend your camp to all of my son’s teammates and friends.  Words cannot express my gratitude.  This was definitely money well spent."

"Thanks again for bringing all your good energy and experiences here to the Big Island.  I also truly appreciated the time you gave my son as he is trying to find his passion in life. I hope that we will meet again next season and pray for your continued good work toward all our young athletes far and near."

"I wanted to express to you my thanks for offering the MSA camp.  My son came back fired up for roundball -- you'd have been proud watching him clamp down on defense in Kalaheo's first summer league game.  All the Kalaheo boys came back to Oahu inspired to have a great season.  Your staff got them thinking more about what it takes to succeed in college, too -- and not just on the basketball court."

"I recommend that basketball players attend the exposure basketball camp. I have encouraged several of Barry's friends to attend the camp. The experience of attending a camp with Hawaii's best basketball players is truly priceless. Barry was able to meet players and establish friendships, because he attended the camp. The coaching and competition is also valuable in helping young basketball players take their game to the next level. But, the advice, recommendations, phone call to prospective coaches is worth the price of the camp alone. Coach Walls was sensitive to not only to Barry's academic requirements, but he was also aware of Barry and his ability. Coach Walls made several suggestions that helped Barry to narrow his choices to a list of appropriate schools. Barry will attend Occidental College in the fall and will receive significant financial aid that will make it possible to attend Occidental College. Coach Walls helped make a challenging process a little easier for me and got Barry into a good college. Coach you are truly a basketball junkie, who cares about basketball players and their education."
--Alan Kang, father or Barry Kang, 2005 exposure camp attendee and state champion at Iolani School

"My 8-year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed her camp experience. She especially liked learning new skills and making new friends. As a high school basketball coach, I was really impressed with the level of instruction and how organized the camp was. The main focus with the younger participants seemed to be FUN. I would recommend this camp to anyone who enjoys the game of basketball."
--Mark Vaught, St. Anthony High School head varsity basketball coach & father of 2004 Youth Fundamental Camp attendee

"My 17 year old daughter Ashley really enjoyed the camp. Coach Walls made the camp fun and challenging at the same time. The girls worked on the basic fundamentals, and this taught my daughter that no matter what stage of the competition you're at, fundamentals are very important. I would recommend this camp to anyone. Coach Walls really cares about the kids."
--Cindy Makimoto, mother of a two-time Girl's High School Camp attendee & 3-year varsity starter at Baldwin HS

"John really enjoyed the high school basketball camp with Coach Walls. He enjoyed going through the drills and developing his shooting skills. We really appreaciate that Coach Walls brought his camp to Maui, offering local kids exposure to great coaching!"
